  • Why does my 613 wig make me feel like a backup dancer in a music video?

A 613 wig can definitely make a statement, especially because the bright blonde shade is hard to ignore. If yours feels a little too dramatic for everyday wear, the good news is that you have plenty of ways to make it look more natural without completely changing the wig.

An easy one to try is to introduce some dimension. Flat, bright blonde has a tendency to look very wig-like, so a little darker shadow roots or lowlights can add some depth. If you’re dyeing the wig yourself, try it on a small section to start with. Blonde can take dye quickly, and correcting a unintended color can be a real time-consuming headache!Same goes for the hairline. Always trim the lace smoothly and blend it to match your skin tone. A few slight touches of the plucker can give the illusion of a sparse hairline, but too much plucking can weaken the lace!Styling is also important. Very perfect ringlets or an entirely smooth flat style can cause the wig to look less natural looking. Looser waves, a slightly imperfect part, or a simple low ponytail can help to achieve a more casual feel. The last thing to do is to keep the hair moisturized and stay away from too much heat. Extremely blonde hair tends to be processed already, and when, its dry, it appears “foxy” or fake. All a 613 wig really needs is to not offend the eye. Incorporating some small changes could make the blonde appear softer, more dimensional and easier to wear instinctively.
