  • Why does my 613 closure wig look like it has a personal grudge against my hairli

Honestly, 613 hair could really look fabulous, but there is no slightest trace in it wanting to be a low-maintenance look. The main issue with a 613 closure wig is that it is pretty much light, so the big job is to find ways of having the lace and hairline look like they really belong.

The first step is to check the lace of the wig. In case the lace is too light or shows up quite a bit, it might give rise to the “wig sitting on top of my head” effect. Dyeing your lace slightly can make it look more like a continuation of your skin. Also, you should look at the position of the part.

If the closure is too high or the part is too straight, it can look artificial. A nice, uneven part created at random can be more natural when you combine the surrounding hair in a soft and gentle way. After all, real human hair doesn’t usually look like a straight hair that is measured with a ruler.

Closures have another trick. If the hairline is really dense at the front it is best to reduce a little bit the density by thinning just a tiny piece of closure around the front so its transition to your natural hair will look more natural.Do not pluck too much because once gone, hair cannot be put back again.

Styling-wise do not aim for making every part of the wig to appear really smooth and slick. A little variation in texture, movement, or soft, light waves can really make the whole outfit look much more realistic. In the end, compare the color of the wig with your skin naturally out in the sunlight. 613 can appear completely different under the artificial lights of a room so daylight is the ideal time for testing your choice.

In case that you are unhappy with the shade’s brightness, you can do a subtle coloring which can make the hair look softer.
