What’s Your Daily Maintenance Routine for Raw Hair Bundles?
The maintenance for raw hair bundles should focus more on minimal products and moisture to retain an unprocessed cuticle and prevent matting. Since raw hair does not receives from scalp oil, and the hair needs more daily moisturization, morning and night time is crucial to spray your hair bundles with distill water and a light leave-in conditioner. You should definitely steer away from leaving hair products like heavy minerals oil, silicones or thick wax because they will quickly build up in hair and cause the hair to become stiff and heavy
For detangling purposes, you’ll need to smoothly brush down the ends toward the wefts with the support of a wide-toothed comb or a flexible paddle brush. You’ll want to be sure to support the hair close to the scalp while you are brushing so that you don’t create tension on the tracks or pull out the extensions and lose hair. If you have wavy or curly extensions, you will define the pattern by slightly scrunching while slightly wet, then allowing the extensions to dry on their own.
Night care is also important for the longevity of your bundles. Do not sleep on wet hair; wrap bundles around 1-2 loose braids or twist sections and slip on a pure silk or satin bonnet to hold it in place. Use a silk pillowcase to help eliminate friction, frizz and the loss of moisture.
