  • What is a CENOMAR?

Posted by Noah Hoehne on October 8, 2025 at 1:22 am

A CENOMAR, or Certificate of No Marriage Record, is an official document issued by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that certifies a person has not contracted any marriage based on PSA records. It serves as legal proof that an individual is single or has no existing marriage record registered in the Philippines.

The CENOMAR is often required for various personal, legal, and official purposes, such as:

Marriage application (both local and abroad)

    Employment abroad or visa processing

    School or scholarship applications

    Annulment or legal separation proceedings

Verification of marital status for financial or business transactions

A CENOMAR includes important details such as the person’s complete name, date and place of birth, and the purpose of the request. If a person has previously been married, the document will reflect details of the registered marriage.
