  • What are everyone’s thoughts on the future of financial tech?

Posted by Fevo Lord on April 28, 2026 at 1:40 am

Lately I keep noticing how much money-related stuff has moved online. Paying bills, splitting expenses, checking subscriptions, even applying for basic financial services — it all feels way easier than it used to. At the same time, every new fintech app claims to be the next big thing, and it’s hard to separate useful tools from trends that will disappear in a year. What fintech changes do you actually find helpful in real life? Do you think we’re slowly moving toward a cashless society, or will traditional banks still stay important?

Yes, the pace of change is really noticeable, especially when compared to how we used banks just a few years ago. But I don’t think everything new automatically becomes important. Some apps pop up, make a splash for a couple of months, and then disappear, but fast payments, reliable transaction security, and more convenient services are definitely here to stay. I recently came across an article on Anchor here, where they calmly discussed payments, AI in finance, and built-in financial services, without making you feel like they were trying to sell you something.

It’s fascinating to observe how quickly the financial landscape is evolving. The transition from physical transactions to digital platforms has been quite a journey, and it feels like we’re still just beginning to see the full potential of these emerging technologies. There are so many different directions the industry could take in the coming years.
