Light as a Second Skin
The RICHARD MILLE RM 67-02 (High Jump) automatic watch features a more streamlined design, allowing it to perfectly conform to the body and blend seamlessly with the wearer, like a second skin. Lightweight, slim, and with sporty lines, it particularly emphasizes its athletic qualities. In addition to the iconic features of RM sports watches, this timepiece incorporates four enhancements to strengthen the case structure.
Lightweight Yet Maximum Robustness
The iconic tonneau-shaped case is crafted from RICHARD MILLE’s exclusive TPT® carbon fiber and TPT® quartz composite material, maintaining its lightweight properties while offering superior shock resistance. Despite the slim 7.8 mm bezel/sleeve/caseback assembly, its physical performance is not compromised, nor is it affected by the unexpected situations that may arise during high-level sports, providing athletes with the most reliable timekeeping companion on their wrists. The deep red exterior represents Mutaz Essa Barshim’s Qatari identity, further strengthening the connection between him and the brand and showcasing the watch’s uniqueness.
Watch Details
One side of the watch features a crown made of the same material, with a white rubber outer layer in the center. The outer pattern is crafted from Grade 5 titanium alloy, providing excellent tactile feedback while enhancing the overall aesthetic appeal.
The skeletonized dial allows the wearer to appreciate the mechanical beauty of the CRMA7 movement while observing the time, offering a unique perspective. The dial’s lines echo the movement, machined from a titanium alloy plate with a thickness of only 0.4 mm. It is treated with black DLC coating and hand-painted with the colors of the Qatari flag, Mutaz Essa Barshim. The dotted hour markers at the edge echo the central hour and minute hands, making the time indication clearer and more intuitive. Furthermore, the hour markers and hands are coated with luminescent material, ensuring readability even in low-light conditions.
The CRMA7 movement, crafted from Grade 5 titanium alloy, is also visible from the back of the watch. Every detail of this construction undergoes independent and extensive testing to ensure optimal strength. Notably, the entire gear train of the movement utilizes specially developed gears, providing an optimal 20° pressure angle. The system perfectly transmits torque to the balance wheel, providing robust support for exceptional precision timekeeping performance and guaranteeing a 50-hour power reserve.
As the lightest watch strap ever created by RICHARD MILLE, the “Comfort” strap features a seamless, non-slip design that conforms to ergonomics, perfectly conforming to all wrist curves and further enhancing comfort. Its superior elasticity securely holds the watch on the wearer’s wrist, providing a sense of security.
