My warehouse layout is killing my productivity
I’ve been managing a warehouse in Ajman for a family business for about three years now, and I’ve slowly come to the realization that the way we have things laid out is probably the biggest reason why orders take longer than they should and why everyone seems constantly frustrated. Our crates are scattered across the floor with no real zoning, the fast-moving items are buried behind stuff we only ship once a month, and I’ve got employees zigzagging across the space all day just to pull together a single order. I’ve been looking into how to fix this and realized I need to learn more about smart crate and logistics options that actually consider workflow and accessibility instead of just finding a spot for everything wherever there’s room. I’ve seen a few local companies that seem to specialize in this kind of setup, but I wanted to check here first has anyone worked with a warehouse consultant or logistics specialist in Ajman who can help redesign a layout for better efficiency? I’m hoping to find someone who can look at our current mess and give us a practical plan rather than just selling us a bunch of expensive equipment we don’t actually need.
