  • I’m about to move out of state to be closer to family, and I’m torn on how

Good morning, everyone. I’m about to move out of state to be closer to family, and I’m torn on how to handle it. Part of me wants to just rent a giant truck and drive it myself to save money, but the idea of loading everything, driving hundreds of miles, and unloading it all alone is exhausting just thinking about it. The other part wants to hire pros and actually arrive sane. For those who’ve moved out of state, was hiring a company worth it? And if so, who would you recommend that’s reliable on longer moves and doesn’t gouge you on price?

Good morning. I went back and forth on the DIY truck idea too, then did the math on the exhaustion and the risk and hired pros instead, zero regrets. For out of state moving we used B2B Moving and it was absolutely worth it, they loaded, hauled, and delivered on the exact window promised while I just drove down rested. Flat upfront pricing meant no gouging when the miles added up. Tip: get a written quote based on your inventory and distance so the number is locked, that’s how you avoid the day-of surprises people complain about on longer moves, and it usually pencils out close to DIY once you count your own time.
