How to Deal with Shedding on Raw Hair Bundles (Weft Sealing Tips?)
Shedding can quickly ruin high-quality raw hair bundles, but it is easily preventable with proper care and technique. Raw hair is completely unprocessed, meaning the hair strands depend entirely on the strength of the machine weft to stay intact.
To prevent slippage from the start, we recommend that you glue your wefts before installing them. Apply a special fabric glue or sealant to both sides of the track, trying not to touch the hair. Let it dry.
Ask your hairdresser to refrain from cutting your wefts wherever possible. If a weft has to be cut, it will leave an open track that will shed, so ask them to put a small amount of sealant on the cut track to close it.
Post-installation maintenance is equally critical. Finalize the rewritten version from the prompt.
Use a wide size tooth comb or a loop brush to detangle from the bottom to the roots. Don’t tug unnecessarily, don’t use heavy styling products with high levels of alcohol to avoid damaging the weft glue, and don’t rough-dry with a towel. Wrap your hair up in a silky or satin scarf while you sleep to reduce friction.
