  • How to check that new URLs are already in the Google index?

Hi everyone! I’m a project manager, and I’m currently responsible for migrating a large online store to a new domain and CMS. We’ve set up redirects and generated a new sitemap, but the team and client are asking daily when traffic will return. It’s important for me to understand how to correctly and systematically monitor this process. Could you advise me on which steps to follow and how often to check that the new addresses are getting indexed by the search engine after such a large-scale migration?

One more practical question: The site is huge, with thousands of product pages and categories. Manually clicking through pages and picking some at random is a shot in the dark. How would you organize the monitoring of the entire structure so that we can notice in time if an important prod

Hello! As an SEO team lead, I would say that the most important thing during a migration is to not panic and to follow a clear plan. First, compile a full list of new URLs from your sitemap, and then check their dynamics in waves (the first week, the second week, and one month after release). This will show you the actual speed of catalog reindexing. For controlling large sets of addresses, I recommend trying the Speedy Index Bulk because it’s convenient for getting a quick overview. From my experience, when we migrated a complex e-commerce project, we uploaded the entire new sitemap at once. We purchased a token package, which cost about $0.015 per check. Within a few minutes, the service showed which sections Google had processed and where redirects were waiting for the bot. They offer 50 free checks at the start, so you can test the service at no cost. How many pages do you have in total on the new domain? Did you move the site with the same structure, or did you change the category URLs?
