  • How can I transfer ETH from Linea to Ethereum?

Posted by Nick Henderson on December 11, 2025 at 4:46 pm

I am only taking my first steps in crypto. I have one wallet that supports both the Linea network and the Ethereum network. I use Linea for some projects and Ethereum for others. I was planning to accumulate some funds on Linea and then move them to my main balance in Ethereum so I could withdraw money from there. But I still cannot figure out how to transfer the same crypto asset from one network to another. Could someone explain how to do this?

Linea and Ethereum are networks of different layers, so you cannot just transfer the same crypto directly between them. That is what makes many crypto operations complicated. You can look for a P2P exchange and swap your ETH through other holders with a fee, or you can use bridges that allow you to move ETH from Linea to Ethereum. For example, this one: https://defiway.com/bridges/bridge-eth-linea-ethereum . The fee will also be there, but in my opinion it is lower. And with bridges you can swap at any time, while P2P requires you to find someone to trade with. But choose whichever option is more convenient for you.
