Flying into Casablanca and dreaming of the desert – help me plan!
Hi everyone! I finally booked my flights to Morocco – so excited! I’m flying into Casablanca because the price was too good to pass up, but now I’m trying to figure out the best way to see the desert without wasting time. My main goal is to spend a night in the Sahara with camel trekking and stargazing, but I also want to see some of the imperial cities along the way. I’ve been looking into Morocco desert tours from casablanca that seem to cover everything – Rabat, Fes, the desert, and then drop me in Marrakech where I’ll fly home. This sounds perfect on paper but I’m wondering about the pace. Has anyone done a tour starting from Casablanca? Do they usually pick you up at the airport or do you need to make your way into the city first? Also curious if they spend any time in Casablanca itself or head straight out. I’ve heard mixed things about the city so I’m not sure if I should try to add a day there or just move on. Any advice from people who’ve done this route would be amazing!
