Can you brush a curly ponytail extension?
Yes, brushing of curly ponytail extensions is possible as well, but one should handle it carefully in order not to ruin the curly pattern and increase the risk of frizz. Consult the care guidelines of your particular extension if you purchase them either from human hair or synthetic materials.
First of all, it will be useful to divide the ponytail into several small parts and to untangle the hair from the tips upwards. It is preferable to use either a wide-toothed comb or a specialized soft detangling brush for this purpose rather than a regular fine brush. While doing that, try not to add too much strain onto the attaching part.
Brushing curly ponytail extension when they are completely dry will only make them loose and fluffy. In case the curls require refreshment, spray the hair with some water or a special curling refresh product and gently shape the curls with your fingers.
Afterwards, let the extension dry out naturally and do not use hot styling tools.
