  • I need an actuator, where can I find one?

Posted by Antony Dilan on February 10, 2026 at 6:28 am

I’m designing a custom solution for a piece of equipment where space is very limited, so I need something compact but still reliable. Standard actuators are just too big, and I don’t want to compromise on performance.

In cases like that, micro linear actuators are usually the best option. When I was searching for something similar, I spent quite a bit of time reviewing different models and specifications on small electric actuators https://www.progressiveautomations.com/en-eu/pages/micro-linear-actuators . The nice thing is that they don’t just list products — they also explain how different actuators can be used depending on load, speed, and application type.

That’s exactly what I need. If I can understand how each actuator behaves in real-world scenarios, it will make the design process much smoother and reduce the risk of choosing the wrong component.

You can check small industrial parts stores or search online for mini linear actuators designed for tight spaces. Some brands like Delta Executor also offer compact and sturdy options that you can check out. Be sure to check the size and power specifications before purchasing.

You might want to check with specialty industrial suppliers or robotics parts stores, they usually carry compact linear actuators for tight spaces. If this is for a custom automation setup, some communities that discuss tools like Delta Executor may also share good hardware recommendations. You could also contact a manufacturer directly for a custom-sized option.
