Arc Raiders – How to beat any ARC
Arc Raiders’ enemies might appear terrifying, but each ARC unit is vulnerable to attack. This can make these deadly machines useless. Recognizing ARC behavior patterns and aiming at weak spots can make a big difference.
ARC Weaknesses on arc raiders items
Understanding the ARC weakness in Arc Raiders is important for all players. Knowing this will help you save some ammunition and stress. The ARC is designed so that areas of white color are unarmored and soft. These surfaces will take full damage. Grey plating reduces the damage you take unless your weapon is high-caliber or uses armor-piercing bullets.
The yellow components represent the weakest parts of an ARC. These parts are highlighted or glow, and they can do massive damage. Weak spots can be found around joints, on enemies’ cores, or at the back of their bodies. Even heavily armored ARCs can be destroyed in seconds if you are able to consistently target these areas. You will be dealt with different colors depending on your color.
White areas: Full Damage
Grey zones: Reduced damage.
Yellow areas: Increased Damage.
Arc Raiders ARC Strategies
Each ARC type is unique in its behavior and weaknesses. These can be used to defeat the ARC. Knowing how to deal with them and where they are located is crucial, as this can be a lifesaver in raids. ARCs are also useful for progression, and they can drop parts needed to craft. It is much easier to defeat these machines if your gun is good. If you’re looking for a short version of each strategy with the least amount of loot, then here’s a sheet explaining how to do it:
Wasp
Wasps make up the majority of ARC drones, and are seen in all raids. They patrol in large groups, usually led by a Hornet. When they hear loud sounds or gunfire, the flying robots will rush towards your locati0n. They will investigate if you sprint too close. Wasps can be fragile. Their four thrusters and thin armor are their weak points. Most of the time, a few bursts from a rifle or shots at their thrusters is enough to knock them down.
Hornet
The Hornet’s rapid-fire machine guns can rip shields apart in seconds. The armored front thrusters of the Hornet make frontal attacks on them ineffective. Hornets can be dealt with best by flanking or waiting until they turn. Since their back thrusters have no armor, this is the best option. If you can hit them there, they will be quickly disabled before you can attack back.
Leaper
Leapers, a fast four-legged ARC that uses shockwaves for attack, are quick and agile. They close distances quickly by jumping across cover and slamming on the ground. You can wait until they start to recover and land after a successful jump attack. This will make the enemy vulnerable.
You can interrupt or stagger them by timing your shots immediately after they leap. Stay moving and avoid being cornered. Use vertical terrain or dodge roll to create space as they charge.
Sentinel
Sentinels guard locations with high loot value across the entire map. Often, you can find them on top of towers or roofs. For example, at the summit of Pilgrim’s Peak in Blue Gate. The spotting range of these spies is excellent and they can be spotted from a long distance. This makes it difficult to approach in a stealthy manner. To be safe, approach from behind cover and aim for the glowing fuel tank at the base.

Rocketeer
The Rocketeer, a standard ARC, is one of your most dangerous enemies. They are much less common than Wasps, Hornets or other ARCs but more dangerous. Especially in high-difficulty areas like Blue Gate.
The ARC will not work with regular weapons. Armor-piercing bullets or a powerful gun will be needed. Fire your weapon at the thrusters. Destroying these thrusters will usually result in a chain reaction that quickly eliminates the Rocketeer.
Pop
Pops is a small rolling drone. They patrol large buildings with a high loot-potential. If you ignore them, they can kill you very quickly. If they get too near, they will self-destruct causing heavy damage. The good news is that they are low-HP and can be easily destroyed with a few shots. You can always hear their loud noise when they roll to catch them early.
Tick
Ticks are a small enemy that is often found in enclosed, dark areas. They are known to ambush unwary players on the upper floors of places like the Dam Control Tower. The main danger they pose is surprise, not durability. They can be destroyed with a few bullets. Before they attack, listen for a mechanical whirring.
Turret
Turrets can be found in high-value loot and medium-value loot locations on all maps. Turrets do not detect you until you are within their scanning beam. The turrets are easily spotted, but react immediately once they see you. Although they have a low health bar, the damage they can cause is deadly. After a short pause, pop up from your cover and fire back.
Queen
The Queen appears as an endgame enemy only when a Harvester Event is taking place on a map. It takes a whole team and other raiders to take her out. Heavy Ammo will be needed because Queen is heavily armoured and does massive damage.
After the leg armor has been removed, Queen’s first weakness is her yellow joints. The top of Queen’s head is next on her list. Queen’s laser will expose it briefly, as well as for a brief moment afterwards. It is important to move around these windows and coordinate your attacks, while also timing your grenades.
