  • Need some tips for spending time at Toronto Pearson Airport

Posted by Lillit Ember on July 12, 2026 at 6:26 am

Have a great day, everyone, and stay in good spirits. My husband, our teenagers, and I are finally flying off on vacation to Ontario—we’ve got our tickets in hand. We’re flying with Air Transat, so we’ll be landing in Toronto and will have some free time there before heading out on our excursions.

My husband practices daily meditation and prayer, so it’s crucial for him to find a quiet place right in the airport. Could you tell me if the huge terminals here have special quiet chapels or prayer rooms where one can be alone with one’s thoughts without the distracting noise of the transit area? And are there any entertainment areas on the premises for active teenagers, or at least lounges with free access to high-speed computers or gaming consoles, so that children don’t get bored while their parents are busy with their own affairs?

I envy your travels! My cousin and I used this airport last year, too, and we checked out the facilities. Everything there is great. There are chapels and interfaith prayer rooms in both terminals. They’re completely isolated from the hustle and bustle, and there’s absolute silence inside. I don’t recall any separate rooms with video game consoles for teenagers, but the free high-speed Wi-Fi works perfectly throughout the entire complex. They’ll be able to surf the web without any problems. I also recommend checking out the Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) information portal in advance because it lists all the available information. We read through it all back then, and it really helped us find our way around. Like, we found the right terminal five minutes after getting off the plane. Have you decided how you’ll get into the city? And did you book a taxi, or are you thinking of taking the train?
