  • Planning my first big desert trip – does an off-road workshop check everything

Planning my first big desert trip – does an off-road workshop check everything or just the basics?

I’m getting my 2017 Wrangler ready for a few nights in the Empty Quarter next month and honestly I’m not sure what kind of once-over I actually need. I’ve done some light dune driving but nothing serious, and the car has a small lift that the previous owner installed. I found what looks like a proper Off Road Jeep Workshop Musaffah that advertises pre-trip inspections, but I’m wondering if they’ll just glance at the tires and oil or if they actually check things like diff breather extensions, axle seals, and whether the track bar bolts are still tight. I’d hate to drive five hours only to snap something simple because I didn’t ask the right questions. Anyone here who’s used a specialist workshop before a long desert run and can tell me what they actually looked at? Trying to avoid both overpaying and missing something critical.
